Our Founders

Our founders, Dr. Bryan McNabb DVM & Dr. Allie Plettner DVM are a family with a goal to help promote the utmost health and performance of horses. What began as a horse back riding friendship almost 20 years ago, as evolved to business partnership in both their veterinary practice, Lebanon Equine Clinic, as well as BioSync. Running their business as a family, they practice medicine alongside each other while promoting sound medicine and therapy for their patients.

Dr. Bryan

Dr. Bryan McNabb was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and found his love for horses at the age of 7 years old when he started riding. He grew up riding with Miami Valley Pony Club as well as eventing in the Midwest area during the summers. He also competitively played premier soccer in Cincinnati growing up as well as throughout his undergraduate career at DePauw University. There, he majored in biology as well as chemistry while playing 4 years of varsity soccer and honored as team captain. During his time at DePauw, Dr. Bryan created 2 nonprofits for the local community to better serve their humane societies as well as youth programs. He studied a semester abroad at Limerick University in Limerick, Ireland where he founded the first equestrian club for the university. Dr. McNabb went to The Ohio State University for veterinary college where he was 4 year class president and was voted by the faculty as The Most Outstanding Student for Equine Surgery and Medicine. During vet school, Dr. McNabb continued to feed his passion for competition and played soccer for the semiprofessional team, The Cincinnati Riverhawks. Upon graduation from vet school in 2003, he returned to Cincinnati and joined the veterinary practice that he grew up working with since the age of 16 years old; The Lebanon Equine Clinic which he is currently a partner. Since his graduation from veterinary college, he has continued to foster his love of horseback riding by riding jumpers, playing polo and currently fox hunting. This is in love and passion that he is able to share with his wife Kelsey (who rides hunters) and daughter Macy (who rides hunters as well as fox hunts with dad). Dr. Bryan has been on the consulting side of supplement companies for the last 14 years and his passion to provide a natural product that was scientifically proven and fundamentally supported drove him to develop BioSync.

“I absolutely love that we provide the most premium product on the market that not only harnesses the horse’s natural potentials, but amplifies their ability to succeed and have an outstanding quality of life! With our veterinary background and primary focus on the overall health of our beloved patients, we have selected the world’s highest possible grade of camelina oil and natural ingredients. Our proprietary formula gives us the ability to empower the owners and trainers by delivering ‘The Best of the Best’ products to their animals and athletes!”

Dr. Bryan is driven by his love for veterinary medicine and his unwavering motivation to provide the absolute top product.

Dr. Allie

Dr. Allie Plettner was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her passion for animals started at a young age caring for her family dogs and helping her aunt and uncle with their paint horse farm in southeast Ohio. She started riding when she was 5 years old and her horses in dressage, hunterjumpers and three day eventing. She found her true passion when she began fox hunting when she was 13 and is still an active member of the Camargo Hunt. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Virginia in 2011 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. While in school, she enjoyed being a coxswain for the Virginia Men’s Rowing team and winning nationals in 2011 with her teammates. She is a 2016 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the delegate for the Student Chapter of the AVMA. Her continued passion for horses lead her to work in the Equine ICU while in school and dedicate her life to caring for these wonderful animals. Prior to returning to Cincinnati, Dr. Plettner completed a rotating equine veterinary internship at the Ocala Equine Hospital in Florida. During the internship, she rotated between hospital and ambulatory services. She was in charge of hospital patient care and assisting in surgery for over 1200 elective surgery cases seen throughout the year. On ambulatory service, she worked extensively with race horses in training and high level sport horses with significant exposure to lameness, sales work, reproduction, general wellness and emergency services. She has a special interest in lameness and sports medicine for the equine athlete. She currently lives in Denver, Colorado with her dog, Henley and her parents lab, Skylar. As these two girls aged, her desire to support their health and wellness was paramount. Due to Henley’s difficult recovery from a torn ACL and Skylar’s bilateral hip disease, she knew their mobility and comfort was of the utmost importance. With Dr. Bryan McNabb, she helped develop BioMatrix supplements. The high omega and vitamin E content of the camelina oil along with the natural benefits of bromelain and boswellia provided comfort and support to her two aging doggies. She is excited to share this wonderful supplement with you and your furry friends.
